MEET THE magic MAKER

I’m a New Boston, NH resident and I typically shoot weddings. When I'm not capturing moments through a camera lens, I juggle various roles. My primary focus is being a mom to two bright and beautiful girls, aged 4 and 6, who are my absolute pride and joy. They certainly keep me on my toes. I’ve been married for eight wonderful years. You'll also have the chance to meet my supportive husband, Greg, if you book my services. He's my second shooter—talk about free labor!

I bet your wondering how I got started…

My photography journey began in my early 20s when I used to “model.” Disliking how edited images made me look chalky, I did the top ick/annoying thing a client can do… I asked to edit my own images. Surprisingly, a few said yes with the contingency I wouldn’t share without approval. Fair enough, right? So, I started editing my own photos and it quickly became a new hobby. Without formal training, I turned to YouTube as my teacher.

The shift from editing to photography came when I received two cameras as wedding gifts in 2015.

I LOVE WHAT I DO

And I couldn’t imagine doing anything else

In 2021, with COVID restrictions easing, a co-worker requested me to shoot her wedding. Despite my disclosure of no prior wedding photography experience, I charged very little for a full day and wedding album, grateful for the opportunity. Leaving that wedding, I felt motivated and euphoric, realizing that wedding photography was my true calling.

Following this realization, I dove in headfirst. Ok maybe it was bit impulsive, but I opened an LLC, left nursing after 16 years, and embarked on my own photography business journey. No looking back. In contrast to my experiences as a nurse during the pandemic, capturing people at their best post-pandemic brings me such immense joy. I’ll always be a nurse and who knows, I may go back to it. It truly is the hardest job you’ll ever love. It taught me so much about human interactions and connections. And I’ll carry those people skills with me whenever and where ever I shoot.

As a mom, I know firsthand how fast the years go by. I can’t say I haven’t opened up a bin of old baby clothes, taken a whiff and gotten lost in all the memories that came with it. Investing in albums, prints, and other tangible forms of photography is no different. It allows you to go back and feel everything in that moment beyond the digital realm. Let’s take a look at some other compelling reasons why you should consider purchasing these physical keepsakes:

MAKING MOMENTS last a lifetime

  1. Tangible Memories: Prints and albums provide a tangible representation of your memories. Being able to hold and flip through physical photographs creates a more immersive and sentimental experience compared to scrolling through digital files.

  2. Longevity: Physical prints and albums are more likely to withstand the test of time. Digital files can be susceptible to loss, corruption, or changing technology, but a well-crafted album can be passed down through generations.

  3. Home Décor: Prints can be used to adorn your home, turning it into a personalized and warm space. Displaying your favorite photos on walls or shelves adds a personal touch to your living environment.

  4. Gifts with Meaning: Albums and prints make thoughtful and meaningful gifts for loved ones. Whether it's a wedding album for a newlywed couple or a collection of family photos for a grandparent, these items carry sentimental value.

  5. Convenience: Having physical copies of your photos allows for easy sharing with friends and family. You can flip through an album together or pass around prints during gatherings, fostering a sense of connection and shared memories.

  6. Artistic Presentation: Albums offer a curated and artistic presentation of your photos. Skilled photographers often design albums to tell a story, creating a visually appealing and cohesive narrative that may be lost in a digital gallery.

  7. Offline Enjoyment: In a world dominated by screens, physical prints offer a chance to disconnect and enjoy moments offline. There's a certain joy in flipping through an album without the distractions of notifications and emails.
